When you are searching for your next job, there are tons of things to consider. You have options, and you need to understand what's important to you so that you make the right decisions. In this lesson, I'm going to review the tools at your disposal to help get at what is important to you. I'll also cover expectations in terms of what makes a good versus a bad employer and how to spot red flags. This lesson also lays the groundwork for future discussions during the interview and negotiation phases.
Like any serious endeavor, job hunting needs to start with some research. We've already looked at some ways for you to dig deeper into what you want, now we're going to examine some of the tools at your disposal to find out more about your chosen industry and companies. There are loads of sites out there, but for this lesson, we're going to look at a few of the staples that you should go-to to find out more about a company. But don't worry! We're not going to spend hours doing research on one company. That's a waste of time at this stage of the process. For now, keep it high level and learn only what you need to.
